What is your favorite place on campus?
The sort-of hidden top floor of Education Science
What extracurricular activities are you involved in?
Intramural soccer and softball, Badger Volunteers, and I work as a CNA at the Veteran’s Hospital
What do you like most about Madison?
There are so many amazing local restaurants in the city!
If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
A beaver. They know exactly what they need to do in life (make a dam), and I think that brings them peace
What is an academic accomplishment that you are proud of?
It has been a very rewarding challenge to balance two very different majors in Biology and Spanish!
What sparked your interest in STEM?
STEM, and Biology specifically, has always been my favorite subject since it teaches you so much about why our bodies and the world at large work the way they do.
What is your vision for life after graduation?
I am going to take a gap year to work in a hospital, then medical school!
What advice would you give a friend considering becoming a peer leader?
Do it! It has been a great experience to help out new STEM students, and you learn so much about yourself by spending time in these kinds of leadership roles.
What have you learned through your experience of being a peer leader?
Through being a peer leader, I learned that you are able to accomplish so much more when you work well with a team like we have with our peer leaders and instructors!
