If you could choose anyone for a mentor, who would it be?
I would always choose my parents!

What is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is Memorial Union. While there are plenty of great study spots around campus, nothing beats the Union on a warm fall day, or honestly any day! It’s the perfect place to hang out with friends or get some studying done, all while enjoying a beautiful view of the lake.

What extracurricular activities are you involved in?
Aspiring Physician Assistant Association, Badger Volunteers–Children’s Museum volunteer, Care for a Cause, Muscular Dystrophy Association volunteer, and I work as a CNA at a nursing home.

What do you like most about Madison?
I love the energy of Madison and how there’s always something to do, especially since the campus is integrated into the city!

What are your favorite snacks for a study session?
My go-to snacks for a study session include Goldfish, a Bubblr (or Red Bull), and unwrapped Starbursts…super healthy! I also love Lay’s dill pickle chips.

What is an academic accomplishment that you are proud of?
An academic accomplishment I am proud of is being on the Dean’s List each semester so far.

What are you looking forward to about being a peer leader this semester?
I am most looking forward to building connections with my peers and supporting others as they navigate their college experience in STEM. I am excited to share what I have learned and to continue learning from those around me.

What sparked your interest in STEM?
My interest in STEM started at a young age, particularly in science. I loved science classes and was always excited to buy those experiment books from the Scholastic Book Fair. In high school, I grew to love biology and developed a strong interest in human health and medicine through a four-class biomedical science program.

What is your vision for life after graduation?
After graduating from UW–Madison, I hope to attend physician assistant school and become a provider in pediatrics, neurology, or oncology.
