What is your favorite place on campus?
The Discovery Building with all the plants and open spaces to work.     

What extracurricular activities are you involved in?
I’m involved in research in the Richardson Lab where I get to study microscopic worms to understand the processes of aging.      

What do you like most about Madison?
I like all the fun shops and restaurants on State Street.

What are your favorite snacks for a study session? 
I love to eat cheese cubes and granola bars.

What is an academic accomplishment that you are proud of?
I’m proud of being a participant in the Undergraduate Symposium where I presented a research poster on work that was supported by the Sophomore Research Fellowship.

What are you looking forward to about being a peer leader this semester?  
I’m looking forward to meeting students who want to engage in research at UW-Madison and learn more on how I can help them achieve their goals.   

What sparked your interest in STEM?
My interest in STEM was sparked by the science teachers that I’ve had throughout by education career. They have taught me many new things with fun experiments that were always cool to learn more about like staining onion skins to look at under a microscope to running a PCR protocol to determine if a fictional character had an allele for a disease.    

What is your vision for life after graduation? 
After graduation I am going to take a gap year to learn more about what it means to work in medicine through a nursing assistant experience to prepare for applying to medical school programs.
