Stephanie Resendiz, MHA, is a 2024 WISCIENCE STEM Public Service Fellow and a PhD student in the Social and Administrative Sciences Division of the School of Pharmacy. She previously attended the University of New Mexico, receiving her BA in chemistry in 2021 and her master of healthcare administration in 2023. She is currently working on her PhD in health services research in pharmacy with a doctoral minor in industrial and systems engineering. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and playing with her dog, Tug.
What has been your favorite part of the STEM Public Service Fellows program so far?
I have enjoyed being able to meet other STEM students from different disciplines and being able to collaborate on our common interest of community engagement.
What are you looking forward to doing in this program?
I’m looking forward to the practicum portion of the program and being able to have hands-on experience with everything we’ve learned!
What excites you about community engagement?
Being able to collaborate with others and bring people together are my favorite aspects of community engagement.
