Memorial Union Sunset Room.

What do you like most about Madison?
My favorite thing about Madison is how happy and proud everyone is to be here.

What are your favorite snacks for a study session?
Chocolate-covered pretzels.

If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
A cheetah so I could get across campus quicker.

What is an academic accomplishment that you are proud of?
I am proud of completing a semester of research and the IP Symposium for Bio 152 because it was very out of my comfort zone and ultimately very rewarding.

What sparked your interest in STEM?
My interest in STEM sparked from the dynamic nature of the field. I love that what I learn about in my classes are concepts that I can see and experience in the world around me.

What is your vision for life after graduation?
I hope to go into the healthcare field and use my education to help others.

What advice would you give a friend considering becoming a peer leader?
Being a peer leader is the most rewarding opportunity I have had on campus so far. It is a unique position to use your college experience, including all of your successes and mistakes, to help younger students while simultaneously becoming a more knowledgeable and confident leader yourself.

What have you learned through your experience of being a peer leader?
Through being a peer leader, I have learned the various barriers that students may face that are often not visible from the outside. Moreover, I have learned to thoughtfully communicate and get to know people who have different backgrounds and barriers than me.
