Outreach in STEM can mean lots of things—STEM education…environmental work…health care…. Exploring Service in STEM gives you a taste of what’s out there. You’ll learn about the essential ingredients for successful university-community partnerships and outreach, and you’ll get to experience a couple of different kinds of public service first hand. This course is designed to support you as you try out STEM-related public service opportunities and explore the public purpose of science. Put your science knowledge to work, gain resources and connections on campus and throughout Madison, and get involved in the world around you!
