If you could choose anyone for a mentor, who would it be?
Dr. Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds

What is your favorite place on campus?
Memorial Union! I love to go there to grab food with friends, study, or sit by the lake!

What do you like most about Madison?
I love that Madison has many things to do! There are many great shops and restaurants down State Street, the lake to enjoy year-round, and it overall feels like there is something for everyone to enjoy!

If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
I would want to be a koala so that I could relax in trees most days. I like how they take life very slowly without responsibilities.

What is your hidden talent?
I can do a headstand

What is an academic accomplishment that you are proud of?
I am proud of sticking through the challenging courses I have taken. I have gotten some pretty bad grades on exams but instead of giving up I have continued to stay motivated and focused on improvement and learning from my mistakes.

What are you looking forward to about being a peer leader this semester?
Along with getting to know the other peer leaders, I am excited to develop my own leadership skills while being a role model for other STEM students. I hope that I can make an impact on other students looking for guidance in navigating the STEM field

What sparked your interest in STEM?
Science has always been my favorite subject in school. I did the middle school science fair 3 times and asked for a raspberry pi in 6th grade which I used while I was teaching myself how to code. Now, after declaring my major and taking STEM coursework at Madison, I have solidified my decision and am confident that I have chosen the right educational path.

What is your vision for life after graduation?
I plan to take a gap year and then apply to medical school
