If you could choose anyone to be a mentor to you, who would it be?
I think out of everyone I would still say my dad. He helped me get through school as well as coached me in sports.
What is your favorite place on campus?
The Terrace at Memorial Union.
What extracurricular activities are you involved in?
HOSA, Bucky Pre-Health Volunteering, CNA at the VA Hospital.
What do you like most about Madison?
I love the fact that campus is in between 2 lakes. I love the Capitol Building where the farmer’s market is held. There are also a lot of great restaurants. I also love almost everyone I have met since I started school here.
What are your favorite snacks for a study session?
Cheez-Its and a protein bar!
What is an academic accomplishment that you are proud of?
Becoming valedictorian in high school was a very huge accomplishment for me.
What are you looking forward to about being a peer leader this semester?
I love helping others and I am very excited to help the incoming freshman next year with starting their time at UW. I am also hoping to build relationships with these students. I am excited to advance my public speaking skills as well.
What sparked your interest in STEM?
Ever since I started taking science classes, I knew that was the most interesting to me. I love helping others and became a CNA, which led me to know that I wanted to pursue a career in science and go into the medical field.
What is your vision for life after graduation?
I am planning on applying for PA schools in the spring of 2025 and taking a gap year. I am planning on working as a CNA during that year and hopefully attend PA school after!
