Sticker Theme: Belonging in STEMM

We are looking for designs that interpret the theme of “Belonging in STEMM” (science, technology, engineering, math, and medicine). To us, this means:

  • People of all identities and backgrounds are welcome in STEMM fields
  • Everyone benefits when diverse voices and perspectives are part of STEMM
  • We all have a role to play in making STEMM inclusive and equitable
  • Knowing that you belong in STEMM and have unique contributions to make is important

That’s just some background. You can interpret “Belonging in STEMM” however you want—we encourage you to take these basic ideas we have outlined and interpret it in a creative, fresh way that represents your unique perspective!

Criteria

We are looking for designs that fit within the theme and that are original, creative, and fun. The winning design must be able to easily translate into a sticker format, which may be smaller than your original submission.

Submissions will be evaluated based on artistic quality, creativity, interpretation of the theme, and suitability for WISCIENCE (see rubric).

Judging

One panel member will select the top submissions and present them to the full panel of judges comprised of representatives from WISCIENCE. The judges will select a winner based on the evaluation criteria above.
