Teaching for Diversity

Interested in expanding your repertoire? We’re here to help.

Teaching effectively involves reaching all students, including those whose backgrounds and needs may be different from one’s own. Of course it is an art, but there is research that can be extremely helpful.

Members of the university community are invited to explore resources around understanding and engaging the entire diversity of students by visiting the University Educators Resource Center, requesting one-on-one consulting or joining a book group. Let us know if you'd like to hear about visiting experts coming to campus.

All WISCIENCE courses and trainings for educators, educators in training, and peer leaders include activities and information to help participants understand common issues around diversity and become more welcoming and effective with students from a broad range of backgrounds.
