The Biological Sciences Student Course Guide, a searchable electronic database designed to provide in‐depth biological sciences course information to students, was a project initiated by WISCIENCE (then known as the Center for Biology Education) in 1995, in collaboration with DoIT. From 2007‐2009 it served as a model for the development and improvement of the current course guide for all of campus. An Institute staff member served on the DoIT development committee for the campus course guide and helped facilitate faculty feedback on the project. The Biological Sciences Student Course guide was retired in 2011 after all its features were incorporated into the current course guide. The Institute continues to be involved in making sure that future improvements to the course guide meet the needs of the biological sciences community.
