The Mazomanie Science Outreach Outpost (MOO), established in 2009 in collaboration with the Biocore program, was a venue for UW–Madison‐based science outreach located in the Mazomanie Elementary School. Programming at the MOO included professional development courses for K‐12 science teachers and other resources, including science equipment for loan. For K‐12 students, MOO offered workshops, field trips, and outdoor education activities such as Summer Science Camp and Wilderness Explorers. The Outpost also offered workshops and Science Cafes for the general public. After 2012 the MOO was managed solely by the Biocore program.
